Common questions before SME Capital Partners launches.
Use this page to understand the current pre-launch position, planned product ranges and the information businesses can prepare now.
Is SME Capital Partners currently accepting loan applications?
No. The website is in pre-launch. Registration of interest is for launch updates and future access, not a credit application or approval.
What business funding ranges are currently described on the site?
The planned core business-loan range is generally described as $50,000–$200,000, while the planned R&D funding range is described as $100,000–$1 million. Actual product limits and terms can change before launch.
Can tax debt be considered as a business funding purpose?
The planned product range includes eligible business tax liabilities, subject to whole-business credit assessment, documentation and final terms.
Does R&D registration guarantee R&D funding?
No. R&D Tax Incentive registration does not itself determine eligibility, and any future SME Capital Partners facility would be separately assessed as commercial credit.
What information can a business prepare now?
Useful preparation can include current financial statements or management accounts, bank statements, aged receivables/payables, tax statements, existing debt schedules, a defined use of funds and a cash-flow forecast.
Does registering interest affect a credit file?
The current pre-launch registration form is not a loan application or credit assessment. It asks for basic business and contact information and does not request banking passwords, TFNs or a full credit file.
Will future funding be guaranteed if I register now?
No. Registration creates no entitlement to funding and no obligation to apply. Any future facility will depend on the product available at the time, assessment, verification, documentation and final terms.
